Wot appears in a Thai northeastern folklore, Phraya Kankak. Which play a vital role in making a living of the local people, particularly farmers. Moreover, there was a story of Wot added, Wot was used to make noise and send a signal to Phi Fa to stop the rain when there was enough rainfall startingto harvest season. Nowaday Wot become a musical wind instrument in Northeast of Thailand. It is made of bamboo.

From Local instrument called "Wot" to Roi Et Tower that is one of the three development projects of the Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Park, Roi Et. With the royal grace, Her Royal Highness Maha Chakri Sirindhorn had been supporting and monitoring the construction process of Roi Et Tower from start on Friday 29th September 2016 to finish in December 2020. On the auspicious occasion, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn proceeded to the opening ceremony of Roi Et Tower on Thursday 20th May 2021. It brings joy and happiness to the executives, staff team and Roi Et people.
